Purchase of Seiz Breur creations: furniture and ceramics
DIZAGN is seeking furniture, seating, ceramics, sculptures, drawings, and documents from creators of the Seiz Breur movement. Based in Brest, Thibault Lannuzel is reviewing proposals from individuals and professionals in Finistère and Brittany.
Do you want to sell a Seiz Breur creation?
A piece of furniture passed down through a family, a piece of Quimper earthenware, or a workshop drawing can all spark research. Studying the object, its markings, and its provenance allows for a more precise attribution before any potential purchase offer is made. Individual pieces, sets, and archival materials can all be presented.
Creators sought first
- Selling a piece of furniture by Joseph Savina — furniture and seating; ; read the Savina file.
- Jeanne Malivel — furniture projects, drawings and decorative arts.
- Gaston Sébilleau — Furniture and seating attributed to his workshop, dining room sets, drawings, invoices and provenance documents.
- René-Yves Creston — Drawings and designs for furniture, graphic works, decorative art objects and ceramics attributed to René-Yves Creston, accompanied if possible by their documents.
- Georges Rual — Chairs, sofas, desks and other furniture attributed to Georges Rual, as well as drawings, invoices and workshop archives.
- Robert Micheau-Vernez — Ceramics and earthenware sculptures, decorated furniture, preparatory drawings and documents that allow us to specify the author of the model and its manufacture.
Furniture, seating, ceramics and lighting
For furniture: chairs, armchairs, tables, sideboards, cabinets, and documented sets. For ceramics: earthenware, sculptures, and decorative objects with their maker's marks. Lighting fixtures may also be offered when attribution to a maker or workshop is documented; the Breton style alone is insufficient to link them to the Seiz Breur.
Purchase or appraisal: please specify your request
For a sale, DIZAGN examines the item's value and the conditions of a potential acquisition. For an appraisal, the scope and terms of the assignment are defined before any work begins. A photograph allows for an initial assessment, which may be supplemented by a more in-depth study of the object if necessary.
Submit a work to DIZAGN
Do you wish to sell an item or request an appraisal? Send overall and detailed photographs, dimensions, signatures or marks, condition, and the town where the item is located to contact@dizagn.fr. Indicate whether your request concerns a sale or an appraisal.

Document rather than assume
Members of the movement and artists close to its revival should not be confused. The designer, the decorator, and the workshop may be different. AR SEIZ BREUR file and the creator profiles shed light on these distinctions.
