Gaston Sébilleau: Seiz Breur furniture, purchase and appraisal

Gaston Sébilleau's workshop produced the furniture for L'Osté, presented in 1925 at the Breton pavilion of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris, based on designs by Jeanne Malivel and René-Yves Creston. This collaboration is documented by the Musée départemental breton.

How do you document your play?

To study a piece of furniture, one must distinguish its designer, the workshop where it was made, and the date of manufacture. A family provenance, an invoice, or old photographs can complement the examination of the wood, the joinery, and the decoration.
