Robert Micheau-Vernez: ceramics and furniture, purchase and appraisal

Painter and decorator Robert Micheau-Vernez also worked in the applied arts. The Musée départemental breton presents his contribution to modern Breton furniture, with designs inspired in particular by motifs from the Bigouden region.

Creations sought after

Ceramics and earthenware sculptures, decorated furniture, preparatory drawings and documents that allow us to specify the author of the model and its manufacture.

How do you document your play?

For a ceramic piece, photograph the base, the signature, and the maker's marks. For a decorated piece of furniture, the panels, the reverse side, and the joinery help to distinguish the work of a decorator from that of a cabinetmaker.
