Biography
Michel Mortier (1925–2015) is a French designer, interior architect, graphic designer and teacher. Trained at the École des arts appliqués, he managed Marcel Gascoin's design studio before founding the Atelier de Recherche Plastique in 1954 with Pierre Guariche and Joseph-André Motte; he subsequently created several chairs for Steiner and lighting fixtures for Disderot.
