Background
Founded in Paris in the late 19th century, Maison Jansen became one of the great international interior decoration houses. From the 1920s to the 1950s, notably under Stéphane Boudin, it developed a learned decorative language combining historical references, Art Deco and modernity. This pair of armchairs illustrates the house’s taste for elegant structures and refined ornamental detail.
