Biography

Christian Adam (1945–2024) was a French designer trained at the École Nationale des Arts Appliqués. After gaining experience in design offices and interior design, he established himself as an independent designer. A member of the Société des Artistes Décorateurs from the late 1960s, he developed furniture characterized by experimentation with new materials—polyurethane foam, molded polyester, and fiberglass—and collaborated with companies such as Airborne. The Trèfle series belongs to this period of research into molded shells and organic forms.
