Biography
The son of a cabinetmaker, René-Jean Caillette (1919–2004) favoured functionality and simplicity of line. In 1950, his meeting with manufacturer George Charron led to the creation of Groupe 4 with Alain Richard, Geneviève Dangles and Joseph-André Motte.
