Biography

Maison Lunel was a French lighting manufacturer particularly active in the 1950s and early 1960s. Its production reflected the post-war renewal of domestic lighting: wall lights, table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lights, and chandeliers frequently combined lacquered metal, brass, glass, opaline glass, Perspex, or fabric shades. The company's designs favored slender structures, adjustable arms, and direct or indirect lighting systems. Some creations were developed in collaboration with external designers, but market catalogs sometimes attributed multiple designers; therefore, when no precise archival documentation is available, DIZAGN retains the attribution to Maison Lunel alone.
