Biography

Jean Widmer (1929–2026) was a Swiss-born graphic designer who profoundly renewed visual communication in France. From 1969 he designed posters for the Centre de Création Industrielle, and in 1977 he created the Centre Pompidou’s visual identity and logo, which became emblematic of the institution.
