Background

Around 1970, Jacques Tissinier extended his practice as a painter and sculptor into objects, furniture and interventions in public space. His work with the Neuhaus enamelling workshop produced pieces in enamelled steel in which colour, industrial surfaces and geometry became essential elements. Furniture made with Neuhaus in 1973 is now held in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
