Biography

Clément Massier (1844–1917), born into a family of potters in Vallauris, played a major role in the revival of artistic ceramics at the end of the 19th century. Based in Golfe-Juan, he experimented with metallic glazes and iridescent lustres that became characteristic of his Art Nouveau production.
