Biography:

After studying at the Ecole Boulle, Drouet worked as an apprentice to master designer Maurice Dufrene at Galeries Lafayette. He then worked for DIM (Décoration Interieure Mobilier) and joined Jean Domin's studio in 1929. With a solid knowledge of materials acquired during his years of apprenticeship, he had the ability to supply furniture and create complete interiors. Drouet was truly passionate about the Art Deco style, carrying it forward, albeit with the French style of the 1940s, into the post-war period. Among his achievements was an apartment on the top floor of a mansion in Parc Monceau for Charles Boyer and Pat Paterson.
