Biography
Pierre Sala (1948–1989) studied scenography and gestural semiology before working in the experimental theatre of the 1970s as a writer and stage manager.
In the early 1980s, he turned to furniture design and developed playful collections including the Piranha chair and the Clairefontaine desk-notebook. At the same time, he designed interiors for bars, restaurants and private spaces.
