From 1887 it developed decorated slipware and received a medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Employing up to 400 workers before the First World War, it continued production until 1962.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dizagn-doc-heading\"><strong>Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hector Guimard (1867\u20131942) was one of the leading figures of French Art Nouveau.
