Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trained at the \u00c9cole Camondo, Pierre Paulin (1927\u20132009) developed a sculptural approach to seating. His collaboration with Artifort in the 1960s produced several iconic models, including the Mushroom and Ribbon armchairs and the Tongue lounge chair.<\/p>\n

He also contributed to major public commissions, notably the private apartments of President Georges Pompidou at the \u00c9lys\u00e9e Palace in 1970 and the office of President Fran\u00e7ois Mitterrand in 1983.<\/p>\n
